APP TO HELP CONTROL EXPOSURE TO COVID-19 IN SPAIN
14 May 2020
A Mindden team, led by our partner Emanuele, has worked against the clock in recent weeks, to bring a technical solution to improve the situation we are suffering due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sometimes doing nothing is not an option, sometimes there are people who decide to step forward and move away from “someone else will do it” or “that’s what governments are for” …
And that has happened at Mindden, since we have the kind of people who step forward and fight to be useful and to provide solutions for society.
As a result of this concern, a team led by our colleague Emanuele Sabellico, has given it all in recent weeks working sleepless hours until bring able to bring a technical solution to try to improve the situation we are suffering due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This APP is called PROTEGIDOS (PROTECTED) and is the result of a coordinated effort from various locations of the world in an “open source” initiative that can help both the sick, and the epidemiologists responsible for containing the progress of the epidemic.
From Mindden we understood that there is a single way to face this type of solutions from the perspective of the absolute respect for treatment of data and privacy.
Thanks to the DP3T protocol, that has caught the attention of the industry´s “Big Ones”, and is about to receive the support of Apple and Google as the only solution on the market that guarantees a functional and anonymous tracing.
This app allows to control contagion by alerting of potential expositions, and by giving recommendations in real time to those infected always anonymously and avoiding sensitive centralization of data as well as unjustified data collection.
Mindden is currently in talks with national and regional health authorities to collaborate and be part of the common solution that we all need.
If a company is a reflection of the team that makes it up, we can say that we like what the mirror returns.
Remember: this virus we stop it together!
