MindDen Soft Tech has been recognized with the Alicante SME of the Year Award 2026, one of the main accolades for the province’s business community.
The award, organized by Banco Santander, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, the Alicante Chamber of Commerce, the Alcoy Chamber of Commerce, and Diario Información, was presented at a gala held at Fundició Rodes, in Alcoy, which brought together representatives from the business, economic, and institutional sectors across the province.
Our CEO, Jesús Ruiz Planelles, was responsible for collecting the award from María Lucía Pascual, president of the Alcoy Chamber of Commerce, and Ángel Manuel López Ramón, Commercial Director of Companies at Banco Santander.
Ten Years of SME Awards. Ten Years of MindDen.
The tenth edition of the SME Awards coincides with a very special moment for us: MindDen also celebrates ten years.
A coincidence that Jesús Ruiz highlighted during his speech:
“It’s the tenth anniversary of the SME Awards, and we are also celebrating ten years. We were born with a clear idea and the conviction that it was possible to create top-tier technology from the province of Alicante. And I believe we have achieved it.”
A decade in which we have gone from being a small team with an idea and a strong desire to do things differently, to becoming a technology company made up of over 200 professionals working with more than 80 partners.
Many things have changed since 2016. We have grown, forged new paths, taken on increasingly complex projects, and evolved at the pace of an industry that never stops. But there is one thing we have tried to keep intact throughout this time: our way of understanding the company and working with people.
Because behind every project, every new client, every technology, and every challenge overcome, there have always been people. Those who trusted MindDen when we were just starting, those who joined later, and those who continue to build the company’s future today.
Success is also built by enduring.
During his speech, Jesús wanted to move away from a vision of entrepreneurship based solely on moments of success and focus on a quality well-known to anyone who has built a company: resilience.
“It is very important for entrepreneurs to acquire that resilience, if we don’t already possess it. Often, we are measured by success, and that’s fine, but we cannot forget the ability to withstand blows, to face falls, and even to manage ascents without flying off. I believe that is what truly generates value.”
A particularly significant reflection for a company that, like so many SMEs, has experienced its own challenges, learnings, difficulties, and moments of growth over these ten years.
Jesús himself also thanked for the existence of initiatives that highlight the contribution of small and medium-sized enterprises to the economy and employment:
“Thank you for making visible the SMEs that generate employment and wealth. Awards like this are especially appreciated in the daily lives of companies that experience good moments, such as receiving an award, but also many difficulties.”
And he concluded his speech with an image that perfectly summarizes what this recognition means to us:
“Thank you for allowing us, for an instant, to be at the top of that roller coaster. We promise not to fly off.”
A Recognition for the Entire Team.
The SME of the Year Award celebrates its tenth edition in 2026. Throughout its history, over 12,000 companies have participated in these awards, created to recognize the contribution of SMEs to economic growth, job creation, and the development of their regions.
In this edition, alongside MindDen, Bonpilates was also recognized in the Internationalization category; Vraia Corp, in Digitalization and Innovation; Ambicai Sanidad Ambiental, in Training and Employment; Pico Tex, as Sustainable SME; and Almendra y Miel, with the Special Mention for Business Legacy.
For MindDen, receiving this recognition precisely in the year of our tenth anniversary is also an opportunity to look back and remember the entire journey.
The projects that went well and those that forced us to learn. The first hires. The clients who trusted us. The people who have passed through MindDen and left their mark. And the teams that, every day, face new challenges and make it possible for us to keep moving forward.
Therefore, this award does not belong to just one person.
It belongs to everyone who is and has been part of MindDen during these ten years.
